Research

Scientific  research in Marmara University Medical School Anatomy Depatment Research Laboratories is mainly focused on Neuroanatomy, Neuroscience and Vascular Anatomy. Department Laboratories have stereotaxic surgery, retrograde tracing, histochemical and immunohistochemical research facilities. Additionally Anatomy Department Research Laboratories have Fluorescence Microscopy Investigation Unit and one of its kind Electrophysiology Research Unit.

We have collobration with  Oxford University MRC Anatomical neuropharmacology Unit and Aston University School of Health Sciences, Physiology and Pharmacology Deparment.

Anatomy Department is also involved in muiltidisciplinary clinical research in collaboration with Radiodiagnostics, such as 3D MRI and CT imaging areas.
